Perrls -The African Pearls Platform seeks to BookClub & BookCase as follows:
1. BOOKCLUB: Creating interdenominational events where women can tell and share their stories with each other in a safe place. Healing and mentoring each other by hosting women gatherings to review books and network. The intention is to be established in various African countries.
2. BOOKCASE: Encouraging women to publish a series of booklets of their stories dealing with all aspects of lives as women, through booklets pooled into a mini bookcase as a dedicated book series. For example, “I survived”, the first mini bookcase designed to deal with surviving abuse,
tragedy, illness etc).
Why Book Series Author?
Please contribute to the bookcase. We believe your contribution would be invaluable to other
women and yourself as:
- a platform to tell your story from your viewpoint;
- telling your story could provide healing for you, especially if not told before;
- fellowshipping with others allows them to learn from your challenges and successes;
- it provides as opportunity for you to mentor others going through similar situations;
- you have an opportunity to record your story for both current and future generations;
- the chapter could inspire you to write a book of your story if viewed as a “lifestory teaser”; and
- the book is a marketing opportunity for those who already have written books.
